I'm Paul Rhys, a self-shooting journalist, cameraman and editor based in Stockholm. For more than 20 years I have reported news and sport across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and the rest of the world for international broadcasters. Common questions
Can you cover a story in Stockholm at short notice?
Yes. I live and work in Stockholm with my own camera, sound, edit and live kit, so I can usually be on location the same day. Send the outline, location and deadline and I will tell you straight away what is possible.
Do you work alone or with a crew?
Both. Most news work I do alone as a self-shooting reporter, which is quick and discreet. When a story needs more hands, I bring in a trusted local camera operator, sound recordist or producer.
Which countries do you cover?
Sweden first, and Norway, Denmark and Finland regularly, including the Arctic north, Åland and the Baltic coast. I have also covered World Cups, Olympic Games and Rugby World Cups abroad.
What languages do you work in?
English, Swedish, Norwegian and French. I can conduct interviews in any of them and translate for your edit.
